Terms of Use

We appreciate your use of the American Benefits Consulting web platform (“Site”) and associated service offerings (“Service”), which are made available by American Benefits Consulting, an Alliant Insurance Services, Inc. Company and its affiliates (“Provider”). PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF USE (“AGREEMENT”) CAREFULLY.

Registration data and account security

In consideration of your use of the Site, you represent, warrant, and agree to: (a) provide accurate, current and complete information about you as may be prompted by any registration forms on the Site (“Registration Data”); (b) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data, and any other information you provide to Provider, to keep it accurate, current and complete; (c) maintain the confidentiality and security of your password and user name; (d) notify Provider immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or other breach of security; and (e) accept all responsibility for any and all activities that occur under your account.

Only one individual may access the Site at the same time using the same user name. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your email address or user name or any other breach of security regarding the Site of which you are aware.

Intellectual property and use of content

You acknowledge that all intellectual property rights associated with the Site, the Service and Content, including but not limited to associated software and the Site’s overall look and feel and design, are owned solely by Provider, its affiliates and/or its third party licensors. You agree to comply with any additional copyright notices, information, and restrictions applicable to any Content available on or accessed through the Service.

Provider grants you, according to your Service level and account standing, the non-exclusive, limited right, with a standard web browser not supplied by Provider, to use the Service and the text, information, software, images, and other material contained on or made available in connection with the Service, all for your own personal use. You may not share your access to or distribute any of the Content to others without the prior written permission of Provider.

You may download or copy the Content only for your own individual use. Except as may be expressly permitted by U.S. copyright laws, no redistribution or publication of any Content is permitted without the express prior written permission of Provider.

You agree to access the Site or Service only through the interface that is provided by Provider for use in accessing the Site. You agree not to use any automated means, including but not limited to agents, robots, scripts, spiders, and screen scraping tools, to access, monitor, download or copy any part of the Site or its Content, unless Provider has provided prior written consent.

You may not modify, publish, transmit, transfer or sell, reproduce, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, display, or in any way exploit, any of the Content, in whole or in part, except as expressly permitted in this Agreement. Content consisting of or containing software may not be reverse engineered. Provider reserves all rights not expressly granted in this Agreement.

Rules of conduct

You agree that you will not, directly or indirectly, perform or assist in any of the following actions as they relate to the Site or the Service:

a. Engage in or facilitate any illegal activity;
b. Damage or disrupt performance of any computer, system or network used to provide the Service;
c. Interfere with other users;
d. Data mine, store, or collect our Content or personal information about other users;
e. Circumvent or compromise security or authentication associated with any Service;
f. Modify or attempt to compromise any Content;
g. Post, email, or distribute any inappropriate, unlawful, defamatory, libelous, harassing, indecent, or obscene content;
h. Post, email, or distribute files that contain viruses, malware, trojan horses, spyware, or other harmful files or corrupted data;
i. Violate the rights of others, such as infringing any copyright, trademark, patent, or trade secret;
j. Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
k. Resell any Content or use of the Service or access to the Service, or otherwise use Content to provide the same or similar Service to third parties;
l. Solicit subscribers or members to join another online information Service that is competitive with the Site;
m. Use the Service for any commercial purpose, including advertising or solicitation of funds or goods and Service; or
n. Manipulate or otherwise display the Site or the Content by using framing or similar navigational technology;

You represent and warrant that you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations in connection with your use of the Site, the Service, and the Content, including, without limitation, those relating to the Internet, data, e-mail, privacy, and the transmission of technical data exported from the United States or the country in which you reside.

Termination

In the event Provider determines, in its sole discretion, that you have violated this Agreement, Provider may immediately suspend or terminate your access to the Site and Service without prior notice to you, and pursue any other remedies available to it under applicable law.

Privacy policy

All of the information that we collect from you on the Site or through the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Provider its owners, affiliates, licensors, employees, agents, third party information providers and independent contractors against any claims, suits, damages, costs, liabilities and expenses (including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use or inability to use the Site, your breach or alleged breach of this Agreement or of any representation or warranty contained herein, your unauthorized use or distribution of the Content, or your violation of any rights of any third party.

Disclaimer

This site, the service and the content are provided “as is” and provider and its owners, directors, employees, content providers, agents and affiliates exclude, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, any warranty, express or implied, including, without limitation, any implied warranties of merchantability, non-infringement, and fitness for a particular purpose. We make no warranty that the site or the content is free from infection by viruses or anything else that has contaminating or destructive properties.

Limitation of liability

In no event shall provider, its owners, directors, employees, affiliates, licensors, or agents be liable for any direct, special, indirect, punitive or consequential damages, or any other damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of profits or loss of data, whether in an action in contract, tort (including but not limited to negligence) or otherwise, arising out of or in any way connected with the use of the site, the service, or the content, or mistakes, omissions, interruptions, deletion of files or email, errors, defects, viruses, delays in operation or transmission or any failure of performance, whether or not resulting from acts of God, communications failure, theft, or destruction. Without limitation of the foregoing, in no event shall the aggregate liability of provider, whether in contract, warranty, tort (including negligence), strict liability or other theory, arising out of or relating to the use of the site exceed any compensation you pay for access to or use of the site.

Miscellaneous

Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the commercial arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in New York, New York, and judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Provider may seek injunctive or other equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction, necessary to protect the rights or the property of Provider (or its agents, suppliers, and licensors), pending the completion of arbitration.

Provider’s failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver of any provision of the Site Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by American Benefits Consulting, LLC or its affiliates.

This Agreement, including all terms, agreements, and policies that are incorporated into these terms by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Provider and govern your use of the Site and Service, superseding any prior agreements, documents or communications relating to the subject matter of this Agreement.

This Agreement is governed by the laws of New York, USA, without regard to its internal rules regarding conflicts of law.
If any part of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision, and the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in effect.

Provider shall have no liability for any failure or delay resulting from any condition beyond the reasonable control of Provider, including but not limited to governmental action or acts of terrorism, war, earthquake, fire, flood or other acts of God, labor conditions, power failures and Internet disturbances.

Changes to terms

Provider reserves the right to change or replace this Agreement or any policy or guideline on the Site, at any time. When we make changes, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this Agreement. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes will constitute your acceptance of such changes.

Allana Agard

Business Analyst

Allana joined Alliant in June 2022 as a Business Analyst I/Website Quality Assurance Analyst. In her role, she gathers data, analyzes requirements, and documents specifications for new systems processes and enhancements.

 

Allana has worked as a Business Analyst for 5+ years and has extensive experience in the Healthcare/Insurance industry for 10+ years.

Tara Emerich

Account Associate

Tara joined Alliant/ABC in 2021. Her responsibilities include investigating and resolving client and employee issues, preparing client invoices and reporting, and auditing enrollment and payroll files.

She has previously worked in the ABC call center and prior to that has 20+ years’ experience working with a variety of insurance lines.

Tara is licensed in Accident, Health, and Life insurance.

Tai Scott

Account Associate

Tai joined Alliant/ABC as an Account Associate in 2016 and is now an Account Associate II for the Voluntary Benefits Operations Team. Some of her responsibilities include processing and auditing the internal payroll processes and files, processing invoice payments to vendors, and assisting in implementation of new clients. 

Tai has held various roles in the health insurance and benefits industry for 7 years prior to coming to Alliant/ABC including processing COBRA, Coordination of Benefits & FSA statements and billing

Tai has a BA in Human Biology from Temple University and is a licensed broker in Life, Accident and Health.

 

Debbie Amador

Project Manager

Debbie joined Alliant/ABC in 2002. Her responsibilities include coordinating projects, managing project implementation plans as well as ongoing process improvement support for the Voluntary Benefits Operations Team. She has held various roles with her tenure at Alliant/ABC including client management, health and productivity development, and operations.

 

Debbie has a BA in Business Marketing from Western Washington University and is licensed in life and disability.

Brandi Coomes

Account Associate

Brandi joined Alliant/ABC in 2022. Her main responsibilities
include client file management and overall daily support of client
relationship. Brandi’s prior experience includes work as a program coordinator
and licensed insurance agent.

Brandi has a BS from LeTourneau University and is licensed
in Accident & Health and Life.

Arnaldo Desire

Benefit Advocate

Arnaldo joined Alliant/ABC in 2008. His role in the company is a Benefits Representative for the VB team. He provides customer service, professional support and guidance to client HR contacts and employees. In addition, he is responsible for client communications and client file management. With over 16 years of experience at ABC, he also worked on the Employee Benefits team.

Danielle K. Rainone

First Vice President – Consultant

Danielle joined ABC in March of 2014. She has been in the employee benefits field for more than 20 years, starting her career in sales of Retirement and Healthcare products. In 2000, she joined MetLife and held various leadership roles in key areas, including eBusiness, Sales Productivity and an International expat assignment in London. In 2008, Danielle joined CIGNA as leader of the Group Insurance Account Management and Service Operations organization, including Client Management, Implementation, Contracts and Eligibility. Most recently she was the VP of National Accounts Client Management at Prudential, leading a team managing a $3B+ block of Life and Disability business.

Danielle earned her BA in Marketing from Georgetown University.

Daniel Norton

Senior Manager, Executive Benefits

Dan joined ABC in 2007. He manages the team responsible for the implementation and day-to-day administration of our Executive Benefits plans. Dan has a BA in Business Management from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is licensed in life, accident, and health.

Michael R Grippo

Executive Benefits & Administration Systems

Mike has been at ABC since 1990, implementing and administering non-qualified executive benefit plans on behalf of some of America’s largest companies. Prior to joining ABC, he worked for a major life insurance company and a brokerage firm for over 10 years, where he gained expertise in actuarial software development, advanced underwriting, and life insurance product and competitive analysis.

Mike has a BS degree in actuarial science from the College of Insurance.

Jeffrey Jones

Executive Vice President

Jeff Jones is an Executive Vice President and Group Benefits Practice Leader. Jeff has been in the insurance and benefits industry since 1986. His responsibilities at ABC include Group Life and Disability/Leave Management practice lead, business development, client relationship management, and Executive Disability practice lead.

Jeff has a BA in Economics from Ursinus College.

Craig Guiffre

Executive Vice President/Managing Director

Craig has over 40 years’ experience in the Group Benefits industry and joined ABC in 2010 to oversee the consulting practices, administration, technology, and compliance areas. Today, he also leads Alliant’s National Absence, Disability and Life practice. He began his career with MetLife where he served in various sales, marketing, and operational capacities including head of National Accounts, Chief Marketing Officer for Institutional Business, and Senior Vice President and P&L owner for their Group businesses. He held a similar role at Guardian Life where he was responsible for the Group Life, Accident, and Disability lines of business as well as the Marketing organization and key technology initiatives. Most recently, Craig was Senior Vice President at CIGNA where he managed the Group Insurance sales, Account Management, and Product Development organizations.

Craig received his BS from Lehigh University and his MBA from Manhattan College.

Eric Levy

Executive Vice President/Senior Managing Director

Eric joined ABC in 2003 following a career leading Compensation and Benefits functions for several Fortune 500 companies. Eric has more than 30 years’ experience in the HR and Employee Benefits field. Eric has responsibility for overall leadership and growth, as well as shared business development responsibilities for ABC. In addition, he leads the East Region for Alliant Employee Benefits and holds national practice leadership roles for Alliant including voluntary benefits. Eric also maintains active consulting and relationship roles with many of ABC’s key clients. Prior to joining ABC, Eric was the SVP – Compensation & Benefits for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. Eric also held senior Compensation and Benefit leadership positions for PepsiCo, Tambrands Inc., and HomeGrocer.com.

Eric has an undergraduate degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and an MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business at NYU.
