Brian joined American Benefits Consulting in September 2021, bringing more than 14 years of industry experience in both carrier and consulting roles specializing in absence, disability and life (ADL).  Most recently, he spent seven years with Willis Towers Watson where he served as a director and led the Southeast region for their Absence, Disability Management and Life specialty practice.  He has worked extensively with mid- to large employers, including many Fortune 500 companies, to design competitive, equitable and flexible life, disability, absence and time off programs.  His experience crosses a number of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, retail, aerospace and defense, financial services and utilities. His expertise includes strategy development, procurements, vendor management, benchmarking, audits, paid time off evaluation and leave of absence policy design.

In addition to his client work, he has served on the Integrated Benefits Institute Research Committee and has spoken at the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) Annual Conference.  Prior to consulting, he held various underwriting roles with two major U.S. life and disability carriers.

Brian has a BBA in Business Management and a BA in Spanish from the University of Georgia and received his MBA from Emory University in May 2015.
